Near Field Communication (abbr: NFC) is an international transmission standard, which is especially suitable for contactless exchange of data over short distances of up to 4 cm. Transmission occurs either connectionless (with passive HF RFID-tags according to ISO 14443) or connection-tainted (between equivalent active transmitters).
