RFID in building industry

Due to our topic from last week, we present you today a product which was designed in close consultation with the customer.

For the new ADAC headquarters in Munich the company IOMTech from Berlin required a resistant label that adheres not only to "difficult" materials which are found on a construction site and can be printed with all relevant information in form of a data matrix code but also contains a RFID transponder with a relatively high storage capacity. With those breakthrough of walls and ceilings should be marked with requirements for fire protection. In collaboration with IOMTech, ID-LABEL GMBH developed a robust RFID label made of plastic which can withstand those required standards. This is true not only for the construction phase, but also for the entire life cycle of a property.

By using these RFID-/ bar code labels the degree of recognition of components and test points at construction projects can be raised at nearly 100%. In general, the RFID inlay can be used for storage of maintenance and components identifications. They also ensure in hard to reach ceilings, walls and floor the secure traceability of defined components and test points. Using these labels open new, previously impossible perspectives in building industry.

Do you also have a special project and want to make the identification of components as easy as possible? Please contact us. Together we will find the right solution for you and your challenge.
